Debrief
-
Instructor
debrief on performance and recommendations for the rest of the
training day based upon the initial observations. For the
majority of drivers this will mean at least half of the day working on
the driver's technique to improve lap times and
consistency.
-
Once
the instructor is satisfied with the driver's lap times and
consistency they will move onto enhancing the performance of the
kart. During this tuition each change will be explained plus the
expected change in performance so that the driver and their team will
learn how to enhance their own kart for practice and race
meetings.
-
It
is normal for most drivers to find between at least 1/2 and 1 second per lap
and usually more
for club drivers.
-
National
Championship drivers will improve by a smaller margin but improved
testing techniques and greater understanding of the kart will increase
their performance further.
Thus
the following 11 sessions will evolve with the driver. Each and
every K4 Training day is unique to each particular driver and their
requirements. The K4 day could be spent totally on improving driving, a
fifty/fifty spilt or (with an expert driver) 100% on kart and engine set
up. 16:00
Presentation
of timing sheets and Protrain Training Pack and summary of the areas
worked upon during the day. Setting of areas to be developed over
coming practice and race days and items to be considered for the future.
